NEW Aloha Shirt Supporting Maui Relief Efforts

We have an important message we would like to share with everyone…
On August 8th, 2023 wildfires on Maui devastated the entire town of Lāhainā, impacting countless families, many have lost loved ones, while others have lost everything they own. Our hearts go out to our dear friends in the Lāhainā community.

PagongKyoto would sincerely like to help support the recovery efforts of Lāhainā, Maui, in whatever way we can, so we have decided to make a special Aloha shirt with all proceeds after costs being donated directly to the Pacific Birth Collective, a Maui non-profit whose focus is on helping families with children.

The pattern specially selected for this Aloha shirt is the mythical Japanese phoenix:
“reborn from its own ashes.”

The label inside the shirt will read:
Ola Mau ʻO Lāhainā, a name selected by a dear friend and resident of Maui.

Its Hawaiian meaning:
“Continue to live, like a tree that never died, was singed and needed to grow new leaves.”

Thus, a fresh, light green was chosen for the shirt’s background color, symbolic for the Lāhainā banyan tree’s new beginning.

Although the town of Lahaina was completely destroyed, this tree which still stands is emblematic of the road to recovery, and the wearing of Ola Mau ʻO Lāhainā, a symbolic action that shows support for Lāhainā’s recovery efforts.

We are now taking PRE-ORDERS for  Ola Mau ʻO Lāhainā. We are taking PRE-ORDERS to ensure enough of each size will be made. After ordering, the Aloha shirt will arrive in  3 MONTHS.

Each purchase of this artwork will greatly help in changing the many lives of those affected in the Lahaina community wildfires on Maui island.

All proceeds after costs go directly to the Non-Profit Maui Birth Collective. The Pagong Team sincerely thanks everyone in advance for your heart-felt purchase and support!
